Several new laws will affect many people in Atlanta.

#1.  No Texting while driving. This could also include folks that dial the phone while driving. If you have to make a call or text someone, please pull off of the road and park for a few minutes while you have your conversation. The fine is a whopping $150.00 and one point on your drivers license.

#2. Seatbelts  now must be worn in pickup trucks. Anyone driving on the highways in Georgia must be wearing a seatbelt. Pickup trucks are no longer excluded from this law - even in south Georgia.  Looks like the Insurance Companies lobby wins another round in the Capital.

#3. Teenagers under the age of 18 have new restrictions. A Teen talking on the phone or Texting while driving will cause for a $150.00 fine and one point on your drivers license.
