On the Charlie Rose Show last night, Jeff Bezos announced that there were two new Amazon Kindles that should be available very soon.  Some of the new features were longer lasting batteries, new screens that worked even better that the ones they were already using and new colors including black and a few un-announced colors.  The difference between the two new units is that one Kindle is still using 3G cell technology and the other is a WiFi version.  The prices are a little different also with the 3G unit costing $189.00 and the WiFi version costing $139.00.  Jeff also announced that there were a bunch of new apps for the new Kindles.

So now when you are riding on a bus or sitting in a coffee house where WiFi is available, you can download any book, magazine, or newspaper you want in a minute or two with the new Kindles.., Happy Reading
